Meet a JCHC Staff Member: Mitchell Goldberg!

JCHC Staff Member: Mitchell Goldberg

Meet the face behind our delicious food, our Regional Dining Services Director, Mitchell! He’s been the “food guy” here at Lester Senior Living for over 18 years! Our senior living community just wouldn’t be the same without his positive attitude, attention to detail and the empathetic, caring approach he takes when building connections with each resident. Mitchel does everything in his power to not only find a signature dish that each senior loves, but to make sure they truly feel at home when eating at a JCHC senior community.

Here’s a video of Mitchell talking about his rewarding work with JCHC, check it out!

Unseen Bits: Mitchell Tells Us His Favorite Part of His Job

When we sat down with Mitchell, we asked him what his favorite part of his job is and the answer was very heartfelt. Mitchell said, “My favorite part of my job at the JCHC is interacting with residents, because when I talk to residents, I see my grandparents and I miss them. So, I kind of like, get a dose of the outgoing family of mine that I just enjoyed being around. I also try to just make them feel comfortable because the transition coming here from having a big house with a lot of furniture into a small apartment can be very difficult for some people. So, we try to relax them and make the transition, you know, as easy as possible.” Someone with a heart as big as Mitchell does not go unnoticed here at our organization! We are so lucky to have him directing the nutritional choices for our senior residents and making them feel so comfortable here each and every day.
